# Jira Configuration

WhiteIntel supports Jira integration, allowing your team to create autonomous and on-demand jira tickets.

### Prerequisites

* An **active WhiteIntel Enterprise or Threat Intel plan**
* **Admin access** to your organization in WhiteIntel
* **Admin access** to your Atlassian

### Step 1

1. Sign in to Atlassian
2. Go to Atlassian Account → Security → API tokens
3. Click **Create API token**.\
   Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “WhiteIntel Jira Integration”) and set an expiry if offered (typically 1–365 days).
4. Click **Create**, then **Copy** the token and store it securely (you won’t be able to view it again).

{% hint style="danger" %}

### We highly recommend creating a service account with limited privileges to only create Tickets. Do not directly use your Atlassian admin account API key.

{% endhint %}

### Step 2

* Log in to the **WhiteIntel Dashboard** as an organization admin.
* Go to **Organizations > Jira**
* Enable  configuration

### Step 3

* Go to Watchlists page on Whiteintel Dashboard
* Enable "Push to Jira" checkbox on the targets that you want to get alerted via Jira.

Additionaly, for on demand ticket creations, you can click the Jira icon on the top of the Details bar of incidents.
